WHAT ARE YOUR KEY WORDS
Are you like me saying “How did we get to 2020 so fast?”
If we’re not careful the years seem to blend one into the next. And it seems that time is not slowing down for any of us!
I know it’s cliche to say the New Year is all about new beginnings. This is often the time of year that we start rolling out our New Year's resolutions, make our big to-do lists, sign up for a gym membership, and aim to improve upon last year.
As I moved forward into this New Year, instead of New Year’s resolutions I offer to you the same practice I did just recently.
Here goes:
I sat with a cup of tea on a cold, rainy morning and wrote out key words that encompassed the energy and qualities that I want to experience and embrace in the coming year.
So, should this resonate with you:
Take a few moments to be still and ask what qualities you want to cultivate in this year. If you could choose one word to summarize the coming year, what might it be?
Feel free to write down as many words as come to mind, and then several words will pop up as key words expressing the theme or essence that resonates with your inner heart.
Put these words on an index card at your desk or on a calendar where you will see them often as a touchstone as you move through the coming months of 2020.
Allow your actions and thoughts to line up and support the unfoldment of the energy you wish to harness this year!
On a personal note; a key theme that came up for me last year was CHANGE! I actually wrote this word in my journal in the early part of 2019. And, indeed lots of change took place.
To name just a few things, I got married to the most wonderful man, and we experienced a tornado which badly affected our home. (A tornado is a definite expression of change). And, other changes related to home and family took place. On the surface some of this change was challenging but it brought so much good into our lives.
Another word that I wrote for my year was GRACE and I definitely feel grace has led me through so much with greater ease and the ability to be grateful and see a larger picture.
Having a few words as a guidepost can help channel our energy, actions, and habits of the year to support our highest intentions.
I am excited to embrace 2020 with you and I’m wishing you a wonderful year ahead full of your hearts' desires.
To good health, well-being, and peace of mind.
With gratitude,
Phoenix
